We are Tibayan Designers & Crafters!

 

Tibayan Designers & Crafters(TDC)

is the only one coconut shell handicrafts team in Pola, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. This is one of the livelihood projects of farmers association called Tibayan Agrarian Reform Community Association (TARCA). The "Tibayan" is the abbreviated name of three barangays; Tiguihan, Batuhan and Bayanan. All TARCA members live in this area. Some of the members are Agrarian Reform Beneficialies supported by Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Pola, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines.

We live in the Philippines. As you hear the name, it would come to you that a beautiful beach in a tropical Island, plenty of fresh fruites & vegetables and cheerful & happy people. A great deal of fruites including coconuts is harvested in Mindoro island located in the middle of the Philippines. And also, it is well known that a kind of water buffalo called Tamaraw, which is the endangered spices in the world, inhabits only here in Mindoro and one of the indigenous ethnic groups of the Philippines, called Mangyans dwell here as well.

Who work with us.

The project members are those who live in Pola and try to become economically independent through the handicrafts making. Farmers, fishers, the youth, people who raise their family, people with disabilities, people out of work, male and female, whoever can join us as long as there is the strong will in their mind to aim at the goal together with us.

This is our goal and we dedicate ourselves to making our handicrafts day by day for the better future..
